In 1407, the Yongle Emperor established the Siyi Guan — China’s first national bureau for translation and foreign affairs. Six centuries later, IEES reopens that gateway under the spirit of the twelve bronze zodiac heads of Yuanmingyuan, following two Silk Roads to restart the unfinished conversation.
